Green-Wood Lettering Talk

Angela Voulangas and Doug Clouse

We put our knowledge of typography and lettering to work in a virtual talk for historic Green-Wood Cemetery’s Zooming in on History lecture series. Full Stop. Letters Cut in Stone explored some of the the carved lettering and historical styles found throughout Green-wood. Gothic Revival, punctuation, Walt Whitman, and “Egyptian” style letters were just some of the topics. Type, history, context——it’s what we love.
